bevravintage.com will be the new go to site for all the latest and current racing information. This original site will remain in service with hopes to someday use this domain for the new site.
The new site features online membership/login sign up and pre race sign up. Home page with current updates, Race schedule as it compiles, Running order, Forum, Rules and more. The site could not calculate the old $10 bump classes so going forward all classes are an even $20. Payout classes Are $40.
You will first need to set up a website user login account. Every one that races must have their own account with their own specific email address. Every racer must use theri own account to sign up for races. In order to use the race sign up page you must first go through the annual membership sign up and become a member. Your Race numbers are entered and secured when you sign up for annual membership.
If you have not signed up for yearly membership you can do it on the new site any time. Numbers are given out on a first come basis and if the number you choose has been taken it will ask you to choose another.
Registration sign up is the only thing that uses the shopping cart. You will not see classes that you signed up for in the cart. A separate transaction is used to make the class compilation feature work so classes and memberships are charged in different ways.
To sign up for classes on the new site:
1 - Go to “sign up” under “races” in the drop down menu.
2 - Enter your name, number and sled info and choose all the classes you wish to race ONLY that sled in. Be sure you select the correct classes for that model because you are able to select classes it is not legal to race in.
3 - Enter your card info or choose Pay Pal at the bottom of the page and then hit next to go to the review page.
4 – Double check that your selections are correct and that the dollar amount is correct. This is your last chance to go back and make changes if needed.
5 – Hit submit/pay… all done! If you look through the race schedule you should see your name and sled in the classes you signed up for.
EVERYONE! Please help us by looking through your classes at the OTHER sled entries and make sure all models are signing up for the correct classes. Please let us know if you see something that doesn’t look right.
If you want to sign up a second sled go through the same process again. One money transaction is charged for each sled entered and an email confirmation is sent to you as a receipt.
Classes, running order, and race schedule is also displayed in the site for help in choosing where you want to race. Please refer to the earlier posting here on FB for more details on this.
There is a class sign up deadline which will be set for race day morning and then it has to be reset to sign up for the next race. Sort of a sign up “open” or “Closed” feature. This will typically be open but if you try to sign up for the next weekend on a Sunday after the previous race you may run into the sign up page still being closed.

New Class Structure for 2018
Some exciting new adjustments have been made to the class structure for the 2018 season. A few classes have been condensed in an effort to make the race day move a little smoother. The names have changed as well. "Trail stock" has been renamed "Stock" and the old "Stock" has become "Super Stock". The single pipe models have combined up into the twin pipe classes and the old IFS Stock base classes have been replaced with Super Stock IFS classes. The BEVRA class specific rules have remained the same... only the names have changed. The class letter designations have been removed in an effort to make classes a little easier to understand at a glance. There are some new ideas in the Barnstormer and Relic classes and Jr classes and 2 new stock classes have been added to the roster. The updated class structure is posted in the rules section here on the home page. A lot of time, thought and discussion went into these changes and the best effort was made to keep everyone included while maintaining the strong foundation that BEVRA was built on. We would like to say thank you to everyone who gave their input. The combine effort between the Bod and active membership really helped keep all considerations in perspective. Please take a few minutes to look over the changes here on the home page over.
Tunnel Enclosure for 2018
Effective for the 2018 season BEVRA will be requiring all sleds with the exception of the barnstormer class (strongly recommended) to have tunnel enclosures. This is a general safety concern and it was decided that in the best interest of everyone on the race track that enclosures should be in place. Please refer to the general rules for specific requirements.
Year End Points
Here is a link for 2017 Year End Points. 1st and 2nd place awards will be handed out at the awards banquet April 22nd @ 5:00 pm, at McKennas. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. Even if you did not place overall this year BEVRA will be putting $20 towards members meals for the night. If you are unable to make it please make arrangements for your awards, as always.

Updated rule for 2017
A DOT approved LED taillight must be illuminated whenever the snowmobile is on the racing surface. Taillight must be a minimum of 8 square inches of continuous illuminated LED Surface.
Round 5 a smokin success!
In a year where mother nature did her best to try to put snowmobile racing on ice for the season , BEVRA was able to hold it's entire 5 series thanks to the hard work of the Pitcher Perfect Excavating crew. The warm winter took it's toll on many other racing groups in Michigan with many races postponed or outright cancelled. Many of those racers made the trip to Lakeview and the numbers of new drivers and total entries showed it as 281 entries took to the ice for Round 5. Rapidly warming temps took it's toll on the track surface and many of the classes were run as finals to save ice. Still, 44 races took place before the finals were run.
Round 5 also brought the return of Nelson's Speed Shop as a sponsor of 3 classes with gift cards along with a most improved for the day award.

Jr. 120 cc class
BEVRA welcomes Jr 120 cc sleds to race. The class has not been advertised due to numbers being there some weeks and not on others, trophies given out to top 3.
Directions to the Lakeview Land Track.
For GPS users, 11580 Satterlee rd in Lakeview is the house right across from the track entrance.
If your coming from the west, take M-46 to Gravel Ridge Road, go north on Gravel Ridge Road approx. 3 miles till you come to a stop sign, that is Cutler, turn right onto Cutler and go approx 3 miles until you reach Satterlee, (Cutler dead ends into Satterlee) turn left onto Satterlee, go north approx 1 1/2 miles, track entrance is on the left.
From the east, take M-46 to Lakeview, turn north on Lincoln, go north through town until you reach North street (Lakeveiw cementary sign on corner), turn left on North and follow until road turns right and becomes Satterlee, go approx 1 3/4 miles and track is on your left.
Admission is $5 per person and there is plenty of plowed parking for spectators, the racer pit road goes around the south end of the track.

Formed by racers of varying backgrounds which include; Ice Ovals, Drag Racing, and Sno-Cross, each board member has contributed their personal knowledge and talents to help create what we feel is the best vintage racing circuit in Michigan, with the most complete and fair rules, BEVRA will continue to strive to fulfill the racers need for a safe and fun filled yet highly competitive racing experiance.
